Bodoni Type Specimen

The typeface Bodoni was designed in the early 1700's, and has maintained a semi-exalted status ever since. It used in pop-culture products, fashion, education, and is copied and replicated by typographers across the globes.
This book examines the history and story of Bodoni, in part by providing an in depth analysis of the letterforms and comparisons with other typefaces. Designed for a viewer with little typographic background, the book establishes the basics of typographic study and uses diagrams to elucidate the ways in which typefaces differ.
